Waiting on Wednesday

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

I haven't done one of these in awhile, and there are SO many books I'm looking forward to reading! But, I will try to pick just one.
From Goodreads:
A devastating loss leads to an unexpected road trip in this novel from the author of Moonglass, whose voice Sarah Dessen says “is fresh and wise, all at once.”

Hours after her brother’s military funeral, Honor opens the last letter Finn ever sent. In her grief, she interprets his note as a final request and spontaneously decides to go to California to fulfill it.

Honor gets as far as the driveway before running into Rusty, Finn’s best friend since third grade and his polar opposite. She hasn’t seen Rusty in ages, but it’s obvious he is as arrogant and stubborn as ever—not to mention drop-dead gorgeous. Despite Honor’s better judgment, the two set off together on a voyage from Texas to California. Along the way, they find small and sometimes surprising ways to ease their shared loss and honor Finn’s memory—but when shocking truths are revealed at the end of the road, will either of them be able to cope with the consequences?

I absolutely LOVED Moonglass and road trips are always fun, so I just know I will enjoy this book!

What are you looking forward to reading?

  1. I loved MOONGLASS too, and Jessi Kirby is adorable. I can't wait to read IN HONOR. Isn't the cover awesome?!

    1. Yes, I love the cover! It's perfect.

  2. I had a chance to pick up this book at the LA Times Festival of Books this weekend (they had a bunch fo copies there to buy), but I had to make myself pass. UGH it was so hard because I'm dying to read it, but I'm going to her signing in a couple of weeks and I wanted to wait to buy it then.

    1. It will be worth the wait since you get to go to her book signing! I wish she was coming here. I would definitely go.

  3. I can't wait for this book! It looks really good.
